What is the online import export code Registration?

In these days of strong competition, everyone wants to develop their business beyond the home market. International business, on the other hand, isn't for everyone. Before going global, you'll need to follow a set of procedures and rules, as well as obtain a number of registrations and licenses. An IEC (Import Export Code) license is one of the prerequisites for importing or exporting from India. Importer-Exporter Code is the other name for it.

An import export code, which is a unique 10-digit code, is required for every import/export firm owner in India. The Director-General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) of the Ministry of Commerce issues the code, which doesn't need to be filed or renewed.

The import export code registration allows traders to enter the worldwide market by allowing them to register with online e-commerce operators. Customs and export promotion programmes such as the Merchandise Export from India Scheme (MEIS), the Service Export from India Scheme (SEIS), and others are available to businesses. The registration for IEC can be through DGFT’s (Director-General of Foreign Trade) website.

From your PAN registration to IEC registration, the Income Tax Help desk can assist you with all of your tax-related registrations. It aims to make the process of registering for taxes as simple as possible.
